International Orders & Customs Policy
“Ensuring compliant cross-border transit of fine fragrance extraits across global borders, customs jurisdictions, and international carriers.”
01. Global Destinations & Express Fulfillment
ARVEN coordinates cross-border allocations for international patrons across North America, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, and Australia.
International parcels are prepared at our atelier within 2 to 3 business days and dispatched via premier international air express carriers (e.g. DHL Express, FedEx International Priority). Estimated international transit times generally range between 7 and 14 business days, subject to regional customs processing speeds.
02. Customs Duties, Import Tariffs & Local VAT
Delivered at Place (DAP) Incoterms:
All cross-border orders dispatched by ARVEN are shipped under Delivered at Place (DAP) terms. Retail prices displayed on our website do not include foreign import duties, value-added taxes (VAT), goods and services taxes (GST), or customs brokerage fees levied by the destination country's customs authority.
Any such statutory levies assessed upon arrival in the destination country are the sole financial responsibility of the recipient.
03. Dangerous Goods & Aviation Flammability Compliance
Under international civil aviation regulations (IATA / ICAO Dangerous Goods Regulations), high-concentration perfumes containing denatured ethyl alcohol are classified as Class 3 Flammable Liquids (UN 1266).
ARVEN packages all international consignments in full compliance with Dangerous Goods packaging specifications: leak-proof flacon crimps, secondary absorbent liners, and certified outer barrier cartons. As a result, international shipments cannot be sent to civilian Post Office (P.O.) Boxes or military APO/FPO addresses.
04. Currency Processing & Foreign Exchange
Our digital storefront offers multi-currency display previews (e.g. USD, EUR, GBP, AED) calculated using real-time interbank foreign exchange rates.
At final checkout, your order is settled via Cashfree Payments. If your credit or debit card is denominated in a non-INR currency, your card issuing bank will execute the currency conversion at their prevailing retail exchange rate and may assess standard foreign transaction fees.
05. Customs Clearance & Parcel Rejection
In the event that local customs authorities contact the recipient for identity proof or duty payment, the customer must promptly provide the requested documentation to the carrier.
If a parcel is abandoned, rejected, or returned to origin due to refusal to pay lawful customs duties or failure to provide customs documentation, all return freight charges, customs impound fees, and handling expenses incurred will be deducted from any potential refund.
