Product Safety & Usage Guide
“Comprehensive guidelines on Extrait de Parfum concentration, skin patch testing, flammability safety, and flacon stewardship.”
01. Understanding Extrait de Parfum Concentration
ARVEN fragrances are formulated at Extrait de Parfum concentration—the highest and most concentrated tier in classical fine perfumery. Whereas standard commercial Eau de Toilette contains 8–12% perfume oil and Eau de Parfum contains 15–20%, ARVEN formulations are compounded at 24% pure fragrance oil.
This elevated concentration delivers extraordinary depth, velvety drydowns, and superior longevity (often persisting 12 to 18 hours on pulse points) without requiring aggressive artificial fixatives.
02. Application Technique & Dosage Guidelines
Because of the sheer intensity and richness of our formulations, a restrained application is recommended:
- Pulse Point Application: Apply 1 to 2 sprays at warm vascular zones—the base of the neck, inner wrists, or behind the earlobes.
- Do Not Rub: Refrain from vigorously rubbing wrists together after application. Rubbing causes friction heat that crushes volatile top notes (such as sparkling bergamot and pink pepper) and truncates the composition's natural developmental arc.
- Textile Notice: Due to the rich concentration of natural botanical oils and resinous absolutes, direct spraying onto delicate silk, satin, or pale linen may cause transient oil spotting. Mist from at least 20 cm away or apply directly to skin.
03. Skin Patch Testing & Allergen Advisory
Natural perfumery extracts contain complex botanical molecules (such as linalool, limonene, geraniol, and coumarin) which, while celebrated for their olfactory beauty, can trigger sensitivity in predisposed individuals:
Recommended 24-Hour Patch Test Protocol:
If you have sensitive skin or known dermatological allergies, mist a single spray onto the inner crook of your elbow or wrist. Allow it to settle and observe for 24 hours. If erythema, burning, itching, or irritation develops, wash the area thoroughly and discontinue use.
04. Flammability Cautions & Proper Storage
WARNING: FLAMMABLE LIQUID AND VAPOR
ARVEN compositions contain denatured cosmetic-grade ethyl alcohol. Keep flacons away from open flames, lit candles, gas burners, electrical arcs, and intense heat sources. Do not smoke during or immediately following application.
Preservation Storage: Store your flacon in a temperature-stable room away from direct solar ultraviolet rays and high-humidity bathroom environments. Proper dark-drawer or presentation box storage ensures your extrait remains pristine for years. Keep strictly out of reach of infants, children, and pets.
05. First Aid Measures
- Ophthalmic (Eye) Contact: Immediately flush the eye gently with clean lukewarm water or saline solution for 15 minutes, holding eyelids apart. Remove contact lenses if present. If irritation or stinging persists, consult an ophthalmologist.
- Accidental Ingestion: Rinse mouth thoroughly with fresh water. Do not induce vomiting. Seek immediate medical attention or contact a poison control advisory.
- Cutaneous Reaction: Wash affected skin with mild unscented soap and copious running water.
06. IFRA Standards Compliance & Purity
ARVEN compositions are compounded in strict accordance with the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) 51st Amendment Standards. Our pure fragrance oils are synthesized and refined by premier fragrance houses in Switzerland (Givaudan) and France (Argeville) before clean bottling in India.
We do not test on animals, and our formulations are free from banned phthalates, synthetic nitro-musks, and prohibited heavy metals.
